The D-series engine was jointly designed by SAIC and AVL in Austria. In 2005, it collaborated with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in the United States to enhance the design and upgrade the four valve system.

This series of engines has the characteristics of high reliability and good fuel economy. It is one of the mature engines in China with recent design years and advanced technical indicators. It has been selling well for over 20 years and has a market share of over 1 million units.

4. Without air intake heating auxiliary device, the cold start temperature is -15 ℃, and the start temperature with auxiliary device is -30 ℃, with strong environmental adaptability.
